Find and replace text action

The Find and replace text action enables you to find text in a presentation or a specific slide and optionally replace the matching text. Use it to update repeated labels, names, dates, or other text values in slides.
Settings
- Session name: Select one of the following options:
- Session name: Enter the name of the session used
during the Open
action.
(Optional) Click the Insert a value icon to select an existing variable that you have used to store the default session name.
- Variable: Enter the name of the variable that you have used to store the PowerPoint session name.
- Session name: Enter the name of the session used
during the Open
action.
- Find text: Specify the text you want the action to locate within the
presentation.Note: A maximum of 256 characters are allowed.
- Search criteria: Select one of the following options to
match the search criteria:
- Match case: Matches only text with the same capitalization as the found text, enabling case-sensitive matching.
- Match whole words: Limits matches to whole-word instances (avoid partials).
- Range: Select one of the following options to specify the
scope of search:
- Full presentation: Searches and replaces text across all slides.
- Specific slide: Searches only within the selected slide. Specify the slide index number to replace the text on that slide.
- Replace text: Specify the new text that should replace the matched
content.Note: If the Replace text option is disabled, this action performs a search only; otherwise, it both finds and replaces the text.Note: A maximum of 256 characters are allowed.
- Text occurrence: Select one of the following options to specify which
instances of the found text you want to replace:
- All occurrences: Replaces every match found within the chosen range.
- First occurrence: Replaces only the first occurrence found.
- Last occurrence: Replaces only the last occurrence found.
- Assign output to variable: Create or choose a Number variable to store the number of matched or processed text occurrences.
