Internet Explorer EOL overview
With Microsoft's announcement to retire Internet Explorer (IE) for certain versions of Windows operating systems, Microsoft recommends impacted users to move their apps or websites running on IE to Microsoft Edge with IE mode.
To ensure your existing bots are supported on alternate browsers, based on the version you have installed, we recommend that you upgrade to the version that supports IE bot to Microsoft Edge with IE mode portability. For this you can use the Bot Scanner and Bot update wizard.
Update scenarios
- If you are using Enterprise 11 and are yet to migrate to Automation 360, update to the latest Enterprise Client version that supports Microsoft Edge with IE mode. You can then migrate to Automation 360.
- If you are using Enterprise 11 and plan to complete migration to Automation 360 before the IE EOL, you can migrate to the latest Automation 360 version that supports Microsoft Edge with IE mode.
- If you are using Enterprise 11 and plan to complete migration to
Automation 360 after the IE EOL, you can use any one of the
following methods:
- You can update to the latest Automation 360 version, convert the migrated bots created in IE to Microsoft Edge with IE mode.
- You can update to the latest Enterprise Client version that supports Microsoft Edge with IE mode and convert the pending bots created in IE to Microsoft Edge with IE mode in Enterprise 11 and later migrate those bots to the latest Automation 360 version.
