New option in Get list item(s) action.

The new option Use display labels in output in the Get list item(s) action allows you to display the column names or the labels of the list items as seen on the SharePoint UI in the output variable. You can enable or disable this toggle option.

What's new
Support for Graph API

SharePoint now supports Microsoft Graph API in alignment with Microsoft recommendation. You can choose either Microsoft Graph API or SharePoint REST API when configuring the Authentication action. Choosing Microsoft Graph API ensures continued compatibility, security, and long-term support from Microsoft.

Note: Ensure that you use Microsoft Graph API based scope for OAuth connections.
Enhancement to the file size limit

SharePoint package now allows you to upload files with size up to 1 GB. This enhancement enables you to create automations to handle files larger than the earlier limit of 250 MB.
Limitation
Authentication token handling between parent and child automations

When you use the Global session option between parent and child bots, the authentication token can expire after extended time periods based on the Microsoft Azure Active Directory settings. As a result, the bot execution fails due to token time out.

Perform the following steps as a workaround:

  1. Create a parent bot with the Authentication action, and save the session as a session variable with Use as output enabled.
  2. Refresh the authentication in this parent bot.
  3. Add the parent bot to a child bot and map the session variable of the parent bot to a session variable in the child bot.
  4. When you execute the child bot, the child bot receives the authentication from the parent bot through the session variable mapping. This ensures that the authentication token is refreshed periodically.

Citizen developers and professional automation experts can now develop and run automations on macOS platforms on their devices. This package has been enhanced to support macOS, ensuring a uniform development and portability experience.
Support for web triggers in SharePoint

The SharePoint package allows users to leverage the pre-built SharePoint web trigger to subscribe to SharePoint web hooks for real-time monitoring. Users can create and run automation based on the subscribed SharePoint events.

Currently, the web triggers support the SharePoint online version and do not support SharePoint on-premises version.
Limitation

If the SharePoint site name contains #, the file and folder actions do not support special characters # and % in file names and folder path.

Assign file action

Use Assign file action to create a file stream for SharePoint file and assign it to a file variable. The file stream variable allows you to run automation without downloading the SharePoint to local desktop or the Control Room storage.

You can use file stream variables generated using Assign file action to create automation with Upload file, Upload list image, and Upload list attachment actions.
What's changed
OAuth2 - Client Credentials connection

The SharePoint package does not support OAuth2 - Client Credentials authentication method due to Microsoft Azure ACS deprecation. For more details, see Azure ACS deprecation.

Use the Control room OAuth connection option to choose the Control Room managed OAuth as the authentication type.

If you update the SharePoint package to the latest version, use the OAuth connection option in the Control Room to re-authenticate the existing SharePoint connections. For more details, see Konfigurieren Sie OAuth-Verbindungen im Control Room.

Fix

Fixed an issue that prevented the SharePoint Delete action from deleting files containing special characters in their name or path.
