When you test a learning instance with different settings to get the results you want, you might want to restore an earlier version that worked better.

Prerequisites

  • Ensure that you are using the Learning instance creator user to log in to the Control Room. See Document Automation users.
  • Ensure the learning instance has at least two versions.
  • Ensure that you have processed documents in test mode for the learning instance you want to restore. See Process documents in test mode.
Restoring a learning instance to an earlier version provides the following benefits:
  • You can test learning instances confidently, knowing you can restore to a better version if needed.
  • You can restore to a version that gave better results from the list of versions.
  • You can compare different settings between versions and restore the one that gives the best results.
  • You can track the changes that were made to the learning instance over time.

Procedure

  1. Log in to your Control Room.
  2. Navigate to AI > Document Automation.
  3. Click the Validate documents option next to the learning instance you want to restore.
  4. Click the Version history option to see the changes between versions.
  5. Click the Restore option next to the version you want to restore.
