Manage PEG events

An event consists of a screenshot and logs (meta data of actions performed while the screenshot was captured). Events can be used to review any data reliability shortcomings that might occur between PEG and Process Discovery platform when data Is not in sync.

The Events Console screen enables you to review the status of the events, search any failed or pending events, or use a start and end date to filter all the events. However, the Date Filter can be used only for the events with Completed and Failed status. The status can be used to reduce errors caused while forwarding events from PEG to Process Discovery.

Consider a scenario where you want to review the list of events that must be forwarded to the Process Discovery platform. After filtering these event, you want to forward them together (bulk).

Procedure

  1. Log in to your PEG klite URL platform as an administrator: https://klite-fiq-<UID>.<apex domain>.
  2. In the upper right-corner, navigate to Settings > Events Console.
Events Console screen is displayed that contains the status for all the events, a search and filter fields.
  3. Click the Status drop-down menu and select Forward Pending.
The Total events field is refreshed and the number of events that are pending to be forwarded is displayed.
Note: You can click any of the events to review the event details such as the transmission timestamps, the reason why the forwarding of the event failed, number of times the forwarding was attempted and so on. PEG attempts to forward an event to Process Discovery for a maximum of five times before moving it to the Failed status.
  4. Select all the events and click the Bulk retry icon at the top of the table.
An alert is displayed that an attempt to forward the events in bulk is initiated and would take sometime. You can click Status > Forward Pending and review the total number of events.
