CoE Manager software lifecycle policy

CoE Manager software lifecycle policy aims to make innovations and enhancements available to you quickly. Through this policy, we provide you predictability, quality, and importantly nondisruptive access to the latest innovations and enhancements so that you can control when and how you want to adopt these enhancements.

Note: The policies mentioned on this page apply to CoE Manager Base and Plus deployments unless where the differences are called out explicitly.

Overview

The software lifecycle policy helps you with change management while providing you with the latest software updates with enhancements in the CoE Manager. Our policy aims to provide faster access to features, bug fixes, and other enhancements for a better customer experience.

CoE Manager

A new version of the CoE Manager will be released every quarter, that is four CoE Manager updates are released each year. Two of these updates are optional and two updates are mandatory. You can skip the optional updates and update to the next mandatory CoE Manager update.
Note: Any customizations in the current version are not retained when you update to the new version of the CoE Manager Base. For assistance in updating to the new version of CoE Manager Base, contact Automation Anywhere Support.

CoE Manager Plus

A new version of the CoE Manager Plus variant will be released every quarter, that is four CoE Manager Plus updates are released each year. At the time of renewing your CoE Manager Plus instance, you can update to the latest version. You can treat the other three releases as optional.

To update at the time of renewal, contact Professional Services at Automation Anywhere for support.
Note: Support is not provided for versions earlier than N-4 releases. The maximum period you can be on a version is one year.

Data retention

If you renew your CoE Manager license before your contract expires, your CoE Manager instance is activated again, and your data remains intact. If you do not renew your CoE Managerr license after your contract expires, your CoE Manager instance and data is retained in a passive state for a period of 30 days. After 30 days, both the data and the CoE Manager instance is permanently deleted.
