Delete all action

Use the Delete all action in Email package to delete read, unread or all emails from the specified folder.

Settings

  • In the Session name field, enter the name of the session that you used to connect to the email server in the Connect action.
  • In the From specific folders (optional) field, specify the folder from which to delete the emails. For example, Inbox/folder1; Inbox/folder2 or Inbox/test*.
    Note:
    • Microsoft Outlook does not allow the use of wildcards (*) to run a search on folder filters. You must specify all the folders individually in the From specific folders field.
    • Both EWS and email server allow the use of wildcards and supports partial matching. For example, you can specify Inbox/test* to match Inbox/test1, Inbox/test2.
    • If you are using the POP3 protocol, you can delete emails from Inbox only.
  • Select the All, Read, or Unread option to specify the type of email you want to delete.
    Note:
    • For an email server using the POP3 protocol, this action deletes all the email messages.
    • Microsoft Outlook does not currently support this action.
  • Optional: Specify any of the following conditions:
    • When subject contains: Enter keywords separated by semicolons.
Note: This field is not case sensitive. You can enter keywords in the When subject contains field. If you add keywords inside a pair of double quotation marks, the bot will search for an exact match of keywords and the case you used to filter and retrieve emails.
    • From specific senders: Enter senders' email addresses separated by semicolons.
    • When received date is on or after or When received date is before: Select a datetime variable from the list.
Note: This action is not supported for Gmail because Gmail does not support folders.
