Insert rows/columns action in Apple Numbers package

The Insert rows/columns action of the Apple Numbers package enables you to add a new row or column on the current sheet in a spreadsheet.

Settings

  • Use one of the following options to provide session name:
    • Session name: Enter the name of the session used to open the spreadsheet with the Open action.
    • Variable: Enter the session variable that you added in the Open action.
  • Choose the Row or Column tab from the insert table element to insert a row or a column.
    • Row: Select whether to insert a new row into an Active or Specific row position:
      • Active: Inserts a new row at the position of the currently active cell.
      • Specific:Provide the following details:
        • Table name: Specify the table name where the new row will be inserted. For example, Table 1.
        • Row number : Specify the location (row number) where you want to insert the new row. For example, 15.
      • Specify the row position where you want to insert the new row:
        • Add row above
        • Add row below

        To add a new row to the table, you must specify the row number where you want the new row to be inserted. For example, if you want to add a row at the fifteenth position, enter 15 in the Specific field. Additionally, indicate whether you want the new row to be inserted above or below the fifteenth row.

    • Column: Select whether to insert a new column into an Active or Specific column position:
      • Active: Inserts a new column at the position of the currently active cell.
      • Specific: Provide the following details:
        • Table name: Specify the table name where the new column will be inserted. For example, Table 1.
        • Column name: Specify the location (column name) where you want to insert the new column. For example, B.
      • Specify the column position where you want to insert the new column:
        • Add column before
        • Add column after

        To add a new column to the table, you must specify the location where you want the column to be inserted. For example, to place a column in the B position, enter B in the Specific field. Additionally, indicate whether you want the new column to be inserted before or after the B column.
