In Document Automation, every time a document is processed, an extraction bot is used to extract data for the fields defined in the learning instance from the scanned document. ROI is calculated by the number of documents processed multiplied by the labor cost.

Therefore, ROI for Document Automation task is calculated by the number of times the extraction bot is deployed multiplied by labor cost.

Procedure

  1. In the Control Room, create a learning instance.
  2. In the learning instance created, click Process in the Actions option.
    The process is created along with the supporting components.
  3. Select the learning instance created, click the actions menu (vertical ellipsis), and click Open Automation Co-Pilot Process.
  4. The process opens in the Bot editor.
  5. Close this process.
    You are taken to the folder that contains this process along with the supporting automations.
  6. Open the extraction bot in this folder and note down its automation ID.
  7. In the CoE Manager instance, open the relevant opportunity.
  8. Navigate to Details tab, select Document Automation in the Automation Type field, and click Save.
  9. Link automation to opportunity to calculate ROI.

    • The automation ID should be the ID of the extraction bot.
    • To calculate transaction-based ROI, you must use either the Analyze or the Pipeline Accelerator package in the extraction bot.
