Pre-built templates settings

Users with administrative privileges can configure the settings for auto-importing of pre-built templates in the Control Room.

As an administrator, you can manage settings that allow you to turn on or off the automatic importing of templates from Automation Anywhere. This control allows you to oversee template access for your developers and ensure that it aligns with your organization's needs and policies.

This feature provides administrators with great flexibility. It allows them to seamlessly switch between automatically or manually importing automation templates from Automation Anywhere. Additionally, it empowers developers, making it easy for them to access a collection of pre-built templates designed for everyday use cases.

Perform the following steps to manage the auto-import of pre-built templates.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Control Room as an administrator.
  2. Navigate to Administration > Settings > Templates.
  3. Click the Edit button.
    • Enable with overwrite: This setting is enabled by default. Select this option to import the pre-built templates automatically into the Control Room. When templates are downloaded, the system checks and overwrites the existing version with newer versions of templates in the Bot Store folder.
    • Enable with skip: When you select this option, it imports the pre-built templates and skips updating If a pre-built template with the same name and path already exists in the Bot Store folder.
    • Disable: Select this option to stop any automatic import of pre-built templates.
Note: If you select this option, you can manually import the templates from the Bot Store.

For details on how to import the templates from the Bot Store, see Automation Anywhere templates.

  4. Click Save changes.
