View your local device details and update the various settings based on your requirement. The local macOS device is the one from which you access the Bot Agent in order to run your automations.

Prerequisites

Ensure that you have the following permissions in order to perform this task:
  • Register device
  • View and manage all devices
  • Edit devices
  • Attest device credentials

Procedure

  1. Navigate to Manage > Devices.
    Devices page is displayed with a list of all the available devices.
  2. Hover over the ellipses (three dots) icon for the macOS device that you want to edit, and click the Edit device icon.

  3. Use the General tab to update the following:
    1. Optional: Enter a nickname for your macOS device and provide a description.
    2. Use the Lifespan field to select one of the following options:
      • Persistent: This is the default setting. The devices are created to support persistent virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and are not deleted after the device is disconnected from the Control Room.
      • Temporary: Devices are created to support non-persistent virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and are automatically deleted after a specified time when the device is disconnected from the Control Room.

        You can specify the time to automatically delete the temporary devices in the Devices settings of Control Room.

  4. Click the Auto-login tab.
    Auto-login settings enable you to create user sessions or reuse existing user sessions to reduce the automation startup time. For more information, see Configure auto-login settings on Windows device.
  5. Click the Log collection configuration tab.
    Log collection configuration enables you to collect log entries from the devices connected to the Control Room. For more information, see Configure Automation logs settings.
  6. Click the Advanced options tab.
    Use this tab to configure the macOS device environment or change the default settings. For more information, see Configure advanced options.
  7. Click Save changes.
    The changes to your macOS device settings are saved for future automation deployments.
