Configure custom announcements

Custom announcement enable administrators to communicate an important piece of information or a critical update to all the other Control Room users.

Note: This feature requires the Enterprise Platform license. See Enterprise Platform.

You can configure the custom announcement settings to specify a title and a detailed message (or, notification). Choose between an informative or a critical announcement. You can also set the status of the announcement as active or inactive.

When a custom announcement is active, all the Control Room users can see it as a banner (read-only text) on the Control Room Home page.

Note: An informative announcement can be cleared by users after they have viewed the details. However, a critical announcement is always displayed in the Control Room as a persistent banner above any informative announcement. Only an administrator can remove it by marking the critical announcement as inactive.
