You can manage role assignments for each opportunity and assign a developer to build the automation for your specific opportunity.

User Control Rooms

You can link Control Room to connect and assign a developer to an opportunity in the Control Room for Developers field. This field lists all the added Control Room URLs.

To link the Control Room perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Users tab.
  2. Click the Plus icon in the User Control Rooms section to add the Control Room.
  3. The Parent field has the name of your CoE Manager instance by default.
  4. Provide the Control Room URL.
  5. Enter the API user ID and the API key from your Control Room instance.
  6. Choose the user associated with the Control Room from the drop-down option.
  7. Click Create.
    Note:
    • To assign an opportunity to a developer who has developer accounts in multiple Control Room instances, you should create a developer identity for each Control Room. The developer identity should have the Control Room in the identity name (for example, MarcusDevCR1, MarcusDevCR2).
    • You can export the Control Room instances list in excel or csv format by clicking the Settings icon in the User Control Rooms section.
    • You can bulk edit the Control Room names.

Users

You can assign a developer to build an automation for a particular opportunity in the Users field. Once a developer is assigned in the Users tab, it enables assignment for development on the Opportunity – Details page.

You can use the Users tab to assign a developer only if you have enabled Autopilot capability through an Automator AI Platform Base license. Autopilot enables you to discover, prioritize, and quickly build automations with the power of generative AI.

To assign a developer to the opportunity, perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Users tab.
  2. Click the Plus icon in the Users section to add developer to an opportunity.
  3. The Parent field has the name of your CoE Manager instance by default.
  4. Provide a meaningful name for the user.
    Note: This name is used within theCoE Manager.
  5. Select the Control Room from the drop-down.
  6. Enter the unique email address associated with the developer user in the Control Room.
  7. Select the user type from the drop-down.
  8. Click Create.
    Note:
    • You can export the user list in excel or csv format by clicking the Settings icon in the Users section.
    • You can bulk edit the users.

User assignments

You can manage role assignments for individual opportunities, where you can view and adjust which users hold specific roles, such as owner, contributor, or viewer on each opportunity. The interface displays a list of all opportunities along with their assigned users. Administrators can review and update these role mappings and use filters by opportunity name, role, or user to quickly locate and manage assignments. Additionally, you can export the role assignments list in Excel or CSV format by clicking the settings icon in the user assignments section, and you also have the option to bulk edit role assignments.
