The Process Reasoning Engine (PRE) enhances Automator AI by offering speed, transparency, and efficiency to generative AI (genAI) capabilities. PRE provides advanced models for precise automation planning and configuration, while ensuring trust and governance through tactful logging and analysis of prompts and events.

Overview and benefits

PRE enables genAI to understand dynamic paths and decision sequences, empowering your development experience to be one of collaboration with powerful tools. As of version A360.37, Automator AI has the following benefits from PRE.
  • Speed: Build automation three times faster, saving valuable time and resources.
  • Transparency: Enjoy clear visibility on usage and effectiveness, ensuring trust and governance are at the forefront.
  • Efficiency: Achieve near-complete automation, reducing manual intervention and increasing productivity.

Impacted users

Automator AI is a development tool that assists Professional Developers and Citizen Developers in saving time, become more efficient, and reduce the cognitive burden when planning and creating automated solutions.

Automator AI assists Automation Admin and CoE Manager by offering insights to the usage and effectiveness of genAI capabilities. Trust and governance are central to the Automation 360 platform. Prompts and events are logged in AI Governance for transparency and analysis.

Application

Advanced Models: PRE includes the sophisticated algorithms that enable planning and configuration for precise scenarios before prompts are processed. Our models can recognize and employ a wide range of packages and actions in development, making it accuracy paramount. By PRE matching your request to similar configurations, Automator AI can generate a solution that most closely meets your intended goal. New models can now perform sophisticated automation planning and configuration to produce near-complete automation for developers to review and deploy.

Co-Pilot for Automators: These enhanced models enable developers to design, build, and configure automation with significantly greater accuracy and completeness. The model can recognize prerequisites for actions, additional packages, and leveraging variables to deliver a sophisticated output. PRE maintains development best practices in Co-Pilot for Automators, automatically applying these in the generated output. Some examples of these best practices are naming conventions, exception and handling, and automatically creating and configuring required variables. See, Co-Pilot for Automators.
Note: Co-Pilot for Automators requires the Automator AI license.
AI Governance: PRE recognizes specific metadata of prompts and events for AI Governance to offer transparency to Admin in logs, for compliance and strategic improvements. Instances of prompts entered in Co-Pilot for Automators are logged in AI Governance history as free form type prompts. In these logs, permitted users can view metadata such as output status, time, source, prompt type, session ID, and Device name. This data can be leveraged to improve strategy and use cases where developers are collaborating with genAI. See, Event log.
Note: AI Governance requires the Enterprise Platform license.
