Delete rows/columns action in Apple Numbers package
The Delete rows/columns action of the Apple Numbers package enables you to remove single or multiple rows or columns from the table in the currently active sheet.
Settings
- Use one of the following options to provide session name:
- Session name: Enter the name of the session used to open the spreadsheet with the Open action.
- Variable: Enter the session variable that you added in the Open action.
- Choose the Row or Column tab from
the Delete table element to delete a row or a column.
- Row: Select whether to delete from an
Active row or a
Specific row position:
- Active: Deletes the row that contains the currently selected cell.
- Specific: Provide the following
details:
- Table name: Specify the table name from which you want to delete rows. For example, Table 11: SalesData.
- Row number: Specify a single row number or range to be deleted. For example, 2 or 1:5.
- Column: Select whether to delete from an
Active column or a
Specific column position:
- Active: Deletes the column that contains the currently selected cell.
- Specific: Provide the following
details:
- Table name: Specify the table name from which you want to delete columns. For example, Table 11: SalesData.
- Column name: Specify a single column name or range to be deleted. For example, B or B:D.
- Row: Select whether to delete from an
Active row or a
Specific row position:
When you specify the attributes mentioned above, the action will remove the selected row,
column, range of rows, or range of columns from the table during execution.
Note:
- You cannot delete all rows or all columns using this action.
- If the table contains only one row of data, that row will not be removed, even if it is blank. This ensures that the table always retains at least one editable data row.
