A Control Room administrator can create a user and assign them a specific device license.

Procedure

  1. Log In to the Control Room.
  2. Navigate to Administration > Users.
  3. Click Create user.
  4. Review the following table for the available options and update the required fields:

    Enable User Select this check box to activate the user account immediately after creation.
    Note: If this option is not selected, user will be in the inactive state and cannot log in.
    Username Enter a unique user name.
    Description Enter a description for the user.
    First name Enter the first name for the user.
    Note: The number of characters allowed in the First name field is 50.
    Last name Enter the last name for the user.
    Note: The number of characters allowed in the Last name field is 50.
    Password Enter and confirm a password for the user. Ensure that the password follows all the necessary password policies.
    Email Enter and confirm the email address for the user.
  5. Select the required role from the list of Available roles and click the right arrow (→) to add your selection.
  6. From the Allocate a device license to this user? field, select a device license that you want to assign this user.
  7. In the Device login credentials tab, click Choose in the Select default device field to select an available macOS device.
    The selected default device is assigned to the user and can be used to create or run automations.
  8. Click Create user.
    User account is created and an account activation email is sent on the registered email address. User must click the link to activate the account and reset the password. The activation link is valid for 24 hours.
