Test Process (API Task in process)
- Updated: 2026/04/20
This topic will walk you through testing a process that has been configured with API Tasks.
Prerequisites
- You have successfully configured API Tasks within your process as outlined in the Configure API Task in process.
- You have a basic understanding of testing the process.
This is an essential step to ensure that your process is working as expected and properly communicating with external applications.
Procedure
- Locate the process (Configure API Task in process) you want to test and click Run to run the process. This will start the process execution.
- Observe API Task Execution: The API Task sends a chat message - "Hello World" to the specified channel.
When an API Task runs, you can view clear visual cues such as loading indicators or busy states on relevant elements, ensuring awareness of ongoing background activity. During this time, affected elements remain temporarily inactive and are automatically restored when execution completes. Additionally, you are notified if you attempt to interrupt the process while tasks are still running, and accessibility support ensures loading states are clearly communicated.
