Workday Get Integration Event action

You can use the Get Integration Event to monitor the progress of an EIB or other integrations in a Workday instance.

Prerequisites

Ensure that you are authenticated before initiating any Workday action. For more details, see Workday Authentication action. Below are the prerequisites for the Get Integration event:
  • Log in to the Workday as an admin. For more information on logging in to a Workday instance, see Workday Login.
  • Open the EIB that contains the event you want to monitor.
  • To review the Background Process Instance ID or WID of an EIB event:
    1. Navigate to Actions > Integration System > Integration Events.

    2. Click OK to show all the integration events. You can also filter the results based on Integration Event Status, by Person, or by Sent After/Sent Before date and time.

    3. Select the EIB event you want to monitor. Navigate to Actions > Integration IDs > View IDs.

      The Integration IDs page appears with the Workday ID (WID) and Background Process Instance ID.

Procedure

  1. Copy either the Workday ID (WID) or Background Process Instance ID.
  2. In the Automation Anywhere Control Room, navigate to the Actions pane, select Workday > Get Integration Event, and place it in the canvas.

    1. From the Type of ID drop-down, select either the Workday ID (WID) or Background Process Instance ID.
    2. In the ID field, paste either the Workday ID (WID) or Background Process Instance ID copied from Workday.
    3. Enter Default as the session name, or create a session of type Workday Session.
    4. Save the outcome to a variable. For example, you can store all the lines of the report in a Dictionary (EIB-Status).
