Configure scheduler user for Automation Co-Pilot

To help deploy an automation, you can configure a dedicated user as a scheduler user.

A scheduler user can be a global scheduler or a per-process scheduler that allocates the Control Room resources (devices and unattended Bot Runners) for Automation Co-Pilot to run at a set time. For more details, see Scheduler users and device pools in Automation Co-Pilot.

Procedure

  1. In Automation Co-Pilot, the Co-Pilot Admin should configure the bot or process that will be run by the scheduler user.
  2. In the Control Room, the Co-Pilot Admin should create and customize a scheduler role, configured with the Scheduler permission set, and create a user that is assigned to that scheduler role. Users with this role will be displayed during configurations for scheduling. See Create a scheduler user with a role in the Control Room.
Note: The role that you assign to the scheduler user cannot be shared with any other user (such as Bot Runner or an Admin user).
  3. If the scheduler user is attached to a process, you can add the scheduler user to a device pool. For more details, click About device pools and Create device pools in the Control Room.
Note: The Co-Pilot Admin is the device pool owner and can select a custom role (pool-scheduler) in Device Pool Consumers.
  4. After you have configured a scheduler user and a device pool in the Control Room, you can assign a scheduler user to a process in the web interface in Automation Co-Pilot.
