When executed from the Automation Anywhere Control Room, UI Agents can be executed in any of the following environments.

  • Local machine: this is helpful for human-in-the-loop (HITL) scenarios.
  • Local machine with a PiP session: this is helpful when applications being accessed by the agent need to open under the user’s Windows profile (usually needed for SSO logins). To learn more about PIP, see Run automations in PiP mode.
  • Remote machine: this is useful when no human intervention is needed and no user dependency exists.
