How changing ownership of multiple activities works

A Control Room administrator or a user with the necessary permissions can change or transfer the ownership of multiple scheduled activities. However, ownership of multiple or all the selected activities cannot be changed at the same time.

An alert is displayed when the ownership of one or more of the selected activities cannot be changed. Review examples where the ownership of all the selected activities cannot be changed at the same time.

Multiple owners with a varied number of scheduled activities

Consider an example where you want to change the ownership of 10 scheduled activities from 3 different users:
  • Jane: owns 3 activities
  • Derek: owns 5 activities
  • Bob: owns 2 activities
When you select all the activities on the Scheduled activity page and click Change owner, an alert is displayed that the ownership of activities owned by Derek will be changed while the ones owned by Jane and Bob will be skipped.

Multiple owners with equal number of scheduled activities

Consider an example where you want to change the ownership of 12 scheduled activities from three different users:
  • Lara: owns 4 activities
  • Chung: owns 4 activities
  • Deb: owns 4 activities
When you select all activities on the Scheduled activity page and click Change owner, an alert is displayed that the ownership of activities owned by one of the three users will be changed while the ones owned by other two users will be skipped.
