Manage licenses and cloud services in Automation 360

Use the Licenses and Cloud Services portal to view license entitlements, manage Cloud Control Room instances, and provision cloud RPA services for your Automation 360 environment.

This portal is available to Automation Anywhere customers and partners. IT administrators and RPA administrators can use it to track license entitlements and provision Cloud services. This way, they can manage the entire IT asset framework efficiently to realize the value of their investments.

Customers can complete the following tasks in the portal:
  • Provision and manage Cloud Control Room services.
  • Get details about the license GUIDs for Cloud licenses.
  • Configure and download license files (where applicable).
  • View all the purchased licenses with volume quantity and duration (start and end dates).
Partners can complete the same tasks for their own accounts and for their customers' accounts.

Overview

To efficiently use and manage their environments, IT and RPA administrators require visibility into license entitlements and a real-time view of available and used licenses. Also, these administrators require visibility into the purchased cloud services and service instances to efficiently manage the RPA requirements of their organizations. The portal helps these users gather this data and view and manage licenses and cloud services.

License management

You can manage the following types of product licenses through the Licenses and Cloud Services portal:

Cloud licenses
License entitlements distributed through the Automation Anywhere Cloud license server. The Control Room connects to the license server and retrieves entitlements based on a license key (GUID). The GUID is available in the portal. Both Automation 360 Cloud and On-Premises Control Room instances can use Cloud licenses if they have access to the license server.
File licenses
File licenses are used primarily for Automation Anywhere Enterprise 11 and Enterprise 10 versions and for some Automation 360 On-Premises Control Room deployments. One license file per Control Room can be generated from the portal and manually installed on the Control Room.

Customers and partners can perform the following tasks related to licenses:

  • View all the license entitlements and get details of purchased and available licenses and subscription terms (license start and end dates).
  • Configure and download the license files as needed.
  • View all the license entitlements and get details of GUIDs for cloud licenses.
  • As a partner, you can view and manage license entitlements for your company as well as for your end customers.

Cloud services management

Use the License and Cloud Service portal to manage the following types of Cloud Control Room services:

  • Pure Cloud Control Room
  • Pure Cloud Sandbox Control Room
  • Cloud Control Room Migration

The Customer License User (CLU) must provision Pure Cloud Control Room and Pure Cloud Sandbox Control Room instances on demand before the customer can use the Cloud service.

Customers and partners can perform the following tasks related to cloud services:

  • View an inventory of all the Cloud Control Room subscribed services, and their configuration details.
  • Perform on-demand provisioning of cloud services, such as Cloud Control Room and IQ Bot. This helps in real-time provisioning of your services.
  • Access and manage ordered Control Room services.
  • Migrate production and QA Control Room services.
