User sessions
User sessions are interactions with an application, a system, or a platform from the Control Room.
There are two types of user sessions.
- Single session: A session is considered as a single session when multiple
tabs are open in the same instance of the browser or multiple instances with
multiple tabs of the same browser are opened. For example, the following scenarios
constitute a single session:
- Two to three tabs open on either a Chrome browser or Edge browser
- Two Chrome browsers with multiple tabs opened.
Note: Even if you launch multiple incognito instances, it is still considered as a single session for all of the incognito windows. - Multiple session: A session is considered as a multiple session if it
satisfies the following criteria:
- Users logs in from different browsers either from regular or incognito mode.
- Users have connected to third party applications such as Microsoft Teams and browser, mobile and desktop, Salesforce, and so on.
Note: Users can have the Control Room on single or multiple browsers and have other third party applications open along with it.
In case, you experience intermittent logout issues whether you are using single session or multiple sessions, see Logout issues observed when working on single or multiple sessions (A-People login required).
