Templates - Known behaviors
Review some of the known behaviors when using the template feature.
- You can create templates from a Task Bot and a process.
- From the Automation page, templates only display if they have already been published in the public workspace.
- When you create and save a template with empty properties, an error icon does not display because the system allows you to save a template without adding any property values.
- Run and Schedule options do not apply to templates.
- Templates do not support the following capabilities: clone, move, set production label, compare versions, code analysis, and Bot insight.
- You create an automation from a template that has pre-filled
properties, and if you navigate to the private workspace without making any
changes to the automation, you will see the automation highlights the error
icon, and when you click the actions menu (vertical ellipsis),
the Check in Task Bot will not be visible to
use.
Workaround: When you create an automation from a template that has pre-filled properties, ensure you edit the automation and save it.
