Browser extensions for Automation 360

Create automation from supported browsers by using browser extensions. Extensions are periodically updated to support feature enhancements and fixes. Therefore, ensure that you have the latest versions of extensions for the Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Mozilla Firefox browsers.

Before you download the latest version of a browser extension, review the information in the following tables:

Browser extension for Manifest V3

  • When you use any of the Recorder package actions to capture an element, the text of the anchor element used in Generative Recorder is no longer captured if the length is more than 250 characters.
  • When you use any of the actions from the Recorder package to execute a single capture interaction, the action is executed on the captured element when the DOMXPath property contains the XPath values within brackets, or has an array count at the end. For example, (<xpath>)[1].
  • The Generative AI based fallback used in the Recorder package actions now supports finding the captured element when anchor text contains non-breaking space NBSP.

Note: Browser extension is used in the Capture action of the Recorder package. The information captured through the browser extension is stored within the bot and this information is not shared externally. Additionally, this stored information is only used on the machine where the bot was created or deployed.

Browser extensions for Manifest V2

Impact to our customers: Automations that use Google Chrome Manifest V2 based extensions will stop working sometime after June 2023. The deprecation timelines of Manifest V2 based extensions are currently under review and subject to change by Google.
