Process Discovery user roles

Learn about the various users in the Process Discovery platform and their privileges from creating mining runs and exploring processes, to creating web applications and creating a Process Definition Document (PDD).

The Process Discovery platform includes the following user types:

Limited user

A Limited user has access to only the Client Dashboard by default, and view-only access to select assets attached to that tenant’s Client Dashboard by a higher-permissioned user.

Data Review user
Selects and reviews data for all observers in the Process Discovery platform. The data reviewer user has access only to the Review tab and Data Review page.
The Data Review role grants a user access to only the Virtual Interviewer flow.
Note: Discovery and Power Users can access Virtual Interviewer via the URL, but there is no direct link from the main navigation. While a Virtual Interviewer user has access to only the Virtual Interviewer interface, they can currently select and see the data for any and all observer names on the tenant.
Discovery user

The Discovery user is designed for anyone who wants to create Mining Runs and Processes or explore the work of others. Restricts access to features around signature creation that could have impacts on other users data and processes if misused. They do not have access to the Cycle page but can be given access to specific cycles by a higher-permissioned user. They can look through the events, mining runs, or processes generated for those specific cycles. For instance, a Discovery user from a IT team has access to only IT team cycles and cannot view Accounts team cycles.

Power user

The Power user is an expansion of the Discovery user, granting access to those non-admin interfaces that the discovery user lacks. They can do everything in the application, from creating Mining Runs and exploring processes to managing application signatures and creating Web Applications. The power user does not have administrator privileges.

Administrator

The Administrator role is the same as previous - it can do everything a power user can, plus all the additional administration screens related to management of the tenant, cycles, users, observers, and integration/plugins.
