License expiry notifications in Automation 360 Control Room
The Control Room alerts administrators about upcoming license expiration through two channels: banner notifications that appear at login and email reminders sent at scheduled intervals. Both start 30 days before expiration and escalate in urgency as the deadline approaches.
Banner notifications
The Control Room checks license status daily. Starting 30 days before expiration, a banner notification appears each time an administrator logs in. The notification shows the number of days remaining. In the final seven days, the banner severity changes to critical.
As the expiration date approaches, notifications appear at the following intervals:
- 30 days before expiration
-
A dismissible banner notification appears in the Control Room. The banner continues to appear at each login until the license is renewed or expires.

- 7 days before expiration
-
A red, non-dismissible banner appears showing the expiration date and a link to renew the license. The banner remains visible until the license is renewed or expires.

- Expired (0 days remaining)
-
After the license expires, the Control Room is unavailable. A non-dismissible notification screen appears with the option to install a new license.

Note: In an SSO environment, if the install license option does not appear after the license has expired, clear the browser cache and refresh the page.
Email notifications
License administrators receive email notifications about upcoming license expiration. Notifications are sent at the following intervals:
- 30 days before expiration
- 15, 7, 3, 2, and 1 day before expiration
- On the expiration day
- Weekly after expiration until the license is renewed
