Manage automation recording

Recordings enable you to quickly identify and troubleshoot issues that occur during automation execution, leading to improved productivity. You can also download these recordings, or delete them to free up storage space.

Note: Functionality to record automation execution requires the Enterprise Platform license. Contact your Automation Anywhere account representative for more information about this license.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Control Room as an administrator or a user with administrator privileges.
  2. Click Activity > Historical.
    A list of all the available automations are displayed.
  3. Select the automation for which you want to review the recording.
    All the details such as name, connected device and the runtime information of the selected automation are displayed.
    The status of the automation along with the corresponding details are displayed.

    For example, if automation recording is not available as the video was not uploaded to library, the following is displayed:

    Bot run clip could not be found

    Due to some reason the system failed to record the bot run clip. Contact your administrator for more information
    Note: Ensure that you update Bot Agent to an equivalent or later version that is available with Automation 360 v.33 release to view this update. See Bot Agent compatibility.
  4. In the Bot run clip section, click one of the following buttons:
    • Delete clip: To delete the automation run recording.
      Note: When you delete an automation recording, the file is removed permanently and cannot be retrieved.
    • Download clip: To download a copy of the automation recording into your local device.

      The file is downloaded as a .MP4 format.
