License grace policy and notifications

License grace policy defines and provides grace period and grace volume for volume - based licenses (such as Documents, Pages, API Calls, Recommendations) after the purchased licenses have been consumed.

During the grace period, users can continue to access and use the product's grace volume without interruption, allowing them time to renew or purchase additional licenses.

The license grace policy for volume licenses provides users with:
  • Grace volume of additional 10%
  • Grace period of 15 additional days

The grace volume and the grace period are automatically available after the purchased volume has been consumed. On consumption of the grace volume or at the end of the grace period, whichever comes first, the service is terminated.

Notifications related to grace entry, the grace period (the last 7 days of grace license validity), and service disablement when grace licenses expire have been implemented to support the grace policy.

License administrators will receive both notifications and emails in the following scenarios:
  • Grace period entry (100% consumption of the purchased license)
  • Every day for the last 7 days in grace period
  • Service termination
