License grace policy defines and provides grace period/volume for volume - based licenses (such as Documents, Pages, API Calls, Recommendations) after the purchased licenses have been fully consumed.

During the grace period, users can continue to access and use the product without interruption, allowing them time to renew or purchase additional licenses.

The license grace policy for volume licenses provides users with:
  • Grace volume of additional 10% of purchased count. This additional grace volume is configurable, contact your sales representative for more information.
  • Grace period of 15 additional days

The grace volume and grace period become available after the purchased volume is fully used. The service is terminated when the grace volume is consumed or the grace period ends, whichever comes first.

License administrators will receive both notifications and emails in the following scenarios. For more information about subscribing to these notifications, see Notifications:
  • Grace period entry (100% consumption of the purchased license)
  • Every day for the last 7 days in grace period
  • Grace expiry

Users should contact their sales representative to renew or purchase additional volume to use the product post termination.

Note: If you are using the license grouping feature and one or more licenses in the list are in the grace entry period or have expired, the count for those licenses will display as 0 in the Administration > Licenses > Create Group page. For more information about license grouping, see License group management.
