Troubleshooting Agent Interoperability

Use these troubleshooting tips to help diagnose possible Agent Interoperability issues.

- Microsoft Copilot Studio - sending instructions: Sometimes, when you use Microsoft
Copilot Studio, your instructions might not send successfully. Do not worry,
just try sending the instruction again. Conversely, you might see a
Send failed message: Retry, even though the instruction was actually sent successfully and is being processsed. You should wait 20 to 30 seconds. - Tool not showing in the client: Make sure the tool is listed under Inbound tools and the MCP client is connected to the correct endpoint or environment.
- Bot runs but no output: Check the input mapping and variable names in the bot. Add clear input and return documentation in the tool description.
- Permission errors: Make sure the Control Room service account used by the MCP server can access the repository items and any connected apps (such as, Salesforce).
- Performance issues: Start with smaller data scopes, log key checkpoints, and make sure bot runners are available.
