Considerations

While running your private automations in virtual window, following are the points that you must consider:
  • Citizen Developers and Professional Developers can run only their private automations in virtual window.
  • When the Run and debug in virtual window setting is enabled, the automation will run even in the virtual window even when in the debug mode.
  • When you configure an automation from a parent automation which have virtual window enabled, the child automation will run in the same environment (PiP or desktop or runner) as the parent automation.
  • By default, the on-demand setting (Run in virtual window option) displays the inherited value based on the Advanced settings > Run and debug in virtual window option. However, the developers can change it for the corresponding session of the Bot editor.
  • By default, the Run now option inherits the Run in virtual window setting from the automation with capability to overwrite it.
