Use these settings in the Bot editor to run your private automations in virtual desktop or virtual window, Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode.

This topic explains how to run private automations in PiP mode in Automation 360. PiP allows automations to execute in an isolated virtual desktop or virtual window, ensuring that automation actions do not interfere with your main desktop session while still being visible.

Prerequisites

While running your private automations in PiP mode, following are the points that you must consider:
  • Citizen Developers and Professional Developers can run only their private automations in virtual desktop or virtual window.
  • For Co-Pilot User to run their automations in PiP mode, see Using virtual desktop for picture in picture.
  • When you have a device with AzureActive Directory configuration, ensure that the Remote Desktop Services is up and running to use virtual window or desktop.
  • When you select any of the options to run your autimation in PiP mode, the Virtual desktop option is enabled by default.
  • When you configure an automation from a parent automation which have virtual window enabled, the child automation will run in the same environment (PiP or desktop or runner) as the parent automation.
  • Virtual desktop pop-up will be closed when that automation deployment completes successfully. Citizen Developers and Professional Developers will be redirected to the main session if they had joined the virtual desktop session.
