Reply and Reply All actions in Microsoft Outlook (macOS) package

Use the Reply action in the Microsoft Outlook (macOS) package to send an email response without changing the subject line in the original email. Similarly, use the Reply All action to send an email response with the same or modified subject and include all the recipients of that email.

Settings

  • Reply
    Note: Ensure that you use this action within a Loop action.
    • In the Session name field, enter the session name that you have used in the Connect action.
    • (Optional): Use the Cc and Bcc fields to enter email addresses of other recipients you want to mark a copy of the email.
    • In the Attachment (optional) field, select one of the following options to upload a file as an email attachment:
      Option Description
      List
      • Click Add to attach files.
      • Use one of the following tabs in the Value field to specify the location of the files that you want to attach:
        • Variable: To specify or select the file variable from the list..
        • Control Room file: To select an attachment that is available in the Control Room repository.
        • Desktop file: To select an attachment that is available on your device.

          You can provide a combination of static path and string variable. To use it as a string variable, press F2 and select the string variable that stores the filepath. Or click Browse and select the filepath. After you have selected the filepath, you can insert a variable at any location to make it a dynamic filepath.. Enter the Variable name and paste the file path in the Default value field. Press F2 to insert the value of the filepath.

      Variable Click the Insert a value icon to select an existing variable.
    • (Optional): Select the Raise error if the attachments are missing (Desktop only) check box to verify that you have attached a file and the attached file exists at the specified location.
      Option Result
      The Raise error if the attachments are missing (Desktop only) check box is selected If a file is not attached, the email is not sent and the bot encounters an error.
      The Raise error if the attachments are missing (desktop only) check box is not selected The email is sent even if a file is not attached.
    • Use the Email body field to select one of the following options for the email body:
      • Plain text: Use regular text in your email body, with no formatting effects, such as bold, italic, or underline, or special layout options.
      • HTML design: Use this option to create and customize your email layout and body. Use the editor toolbar to make various changes to your text, such as applying bold, italic, and other formatting effects, inserting links, and changing the font and size of the text. You can copy the content from the design editor and paste it to other windows.
      • HTML code: Use HTML script in your mail body when you want your content to be displayed in a certain layout every time. You can also include interactive elements, such as links.
    • Enter the content you want to send along with the email in the Message field.
    • (Optional): Select the Include Go Green message at the end of the email check box.

      The Go Green message appends the following text to the email body: Please consider the environment before printing. Let's Go Green!

  • Reply All
    • In the Session name field, enter the session name that you have used in the Connect action.
    • (Optional): Use the Additional Cc and Bcc fields to enter the email address of additional recipients.

      Use a comma to separate the multiple email IDs.

    • (Optional): In the Subject field, you can enter a new subject line while replying to the email.
    • (Optional): Use the Attachment field to select List or Variable.
      The Attachment field enables you to specify if multiple files can be attached as a list or a variable must be created to hold the list values of the file object. Review the following table for more information:

      The email will be appended to the message you have specified.
