IQ Bot - DA Bridge package FAQ

The IQ Bot- DA Bridge package enables you to export all the active learning instance from IQ Bot and import them into Document Automation environment. Review the FAQs to learn more about IQ Bot - DA Bridge package.

What are the prerequisites for moving learning instances from IQ Bot to Document Automation?
  • Your Control Room must be running Automation 360 v.32 release or later
  • You Control Room must include the IQ Bot - DA Bridge package
  • The learning instances and their groups that you want to move to Document Automation must be on production
What happens to my IQ Bot learning instances when I use the IQ Bot - DA Bridge package?
When you use the IQ Bot - DA Bridge package, the package will move your IQ Bot learning instances from IQ Bot to Document Automation. Post this move, when you process such learning instances, the documents will be processed using the Document Automation engine and typically the results should be same as you expect in IQ Bot. After moving all your learning instances, you can disable your IQ Bot server.
Can I edit learning instances in Document Automation after moving them to Document Automation?
You will not be able to edit the learning instances after moving them to Document Automation. You will not be able to perform the following actions:
  • Update group training
  • Modify validation rules
  • Add any new fields
  • Update Python logic
After my learning instances are moved, will the training, validation rules, and custom Python logic in the instances continue to work?
The training, validation rules, and custom Python logic are available to the Document Automation engine and will be used to process documents the same way they were processed in IQ Bot.
After a learning instances is moved, which OCR will be used for the instance in Document Automation?
The same OCR engine that was used in IQ Bot will be used in Document Automation.
What are the different scenarios for moving learning instances from IQ Bot to Document Automation?

Is the option to improve accuracy through validation feedback available for the learning instances that are moved from IQ Bot to Document Automation?
Yes. Use validation feedback based on the recommendation provided in Applicable scenarios to use the Bridge package. Also, validation feedback cannot be moved across development (Dev), testing (UAT), and production (Prod) environments.
Note: Validation feedback based improvements is a continuous learning capability and is different from IQ Bot training.
After moving a learning instance to Document Automation, can we import the learning instance to other environments (Dev, UAT, PROD) in Document Automation?
Yes. You can export and import the learning instance between Document Automation environments. See Export or Import learning instances.
