Configure the automation logs setting to select the storage location to save runtime logs and debug logs. The Automation logs settings allow you to save the logs locally or export the logs to an external server.

The Automation logs setting allows you to configure the storage location for the logs that are generated when an automation is run. The logs are stored either locally (in Control Room) or on an external server (SIEM server for cloud deployments and Syslog server for on-premises deployments).
Note: The Control Room is set as the default storage location.

Prerequisites

  • Ensure that you have View Settings and Manage Settings permissions enabled.
  • Ensure that the integration settings for SIEM server and Syslog server are configured.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Control Room.
  2. Go to Settings > Automation logs.
  3. Click Edit to enable the Server location option.
  4. Select one of the following:
    • Control Room: Choose this option to store the logs locally.
    • SIEM: This option is displayed for cloud deployments. Choose this option to export the logs to a SIEM server.
    • Syslog: This option is displayed for on-premises deployments. Choose this option to export the logs to a Syslog server.
  5. Click Save changes to save the configuration.
