Format text action

The Format text action enables you to find matching text and apply font formatting to selected occurrences in a presentation or a specific slide. Use it to standardize emphasis, branding, or visual style across slides.
Settings
- Session name: Select one of the following options:
- Session name: Enter the name of the session used
during the Open
action.
(Optional) Click the Insert a value icon to select an existing variable that you have used to store the default session name.
- Variable: Enter the name of the variable that you have used to store the PowerPoint session name.
- Session name: Enter the name of the session used
during the Open
action.
- Find text: Specify the exact text to be formatted. Note: A maximum of 256 characters are allowed.
- Search criteria: Select one of the following options to
match the search criteria:
- Match case: Matches only text with the same capitalization as the found text, enabling case-sensitive matching.
- Match whole words: Limits matches to whole-word instances (avoid partials).
- Range: Select one of the following options to specify the scope of
search:
- Full presentation: Searches and formats text across all slides.
- Specific slide: Searches only within the selected slide. Specify the slide index number to format the text on that slide.
- Text occurrence: Select one of the following options to specify which
instances of the found text you want to format:
- All occurrences: Formats every match found within the chosen range.
- First occurrence: Formats only the first occurrence found.
- Last occurrence: Formats only the last occurrence found.
- Text formatting: Enable this option to apply formatting
changes.
- Font type: Specify the name of the font to apply.
- Font size: Specify the font size as a number.
- Font color: Specify a color in hexadecimal format.
Select one of these styling options: Bold, Italic, Underline
Note: If you do not specify any of these options: Font type, Font size, or Font color, the action will only find the text and assign the search count to the variable, without applying any formatting. - Assign output to variable: Create or choose a Number variable to store the number of formatted text occurrences.
