Send direct message action

The Send direct message action enables you to send private messages to individual Slack users from your automation workflows.
Note: When we send a direct message to another user, the message will
be sent via the app that you created. For example, AA Slack
integration.
Settings
- Use the Session name field to select one of the following
options:
- Session name: Enter the name of the session used
during the Connect
action.
(Optional) Click the Insert a value icon to select an existing variable that you have used to store the default session name.
- Variable: Enter the name of the variable that you have used to store the Slack session name.
- Session name: Enter the name of the session used
during the Connect
action.
- Select one of the following options to identify the recipient:
- User ID: Specify the Slack user ID.
- Email: Specify the user email address.
- Message: Specify the text message you want to send.
- Assign message ID to a variable: Create or choose a String variable to store the posted message ID or timestamp.
