The Copy past slide action enables you to copy a slide and paste it after the current slide or a specified slide in the current presentation or copy it to another open presentation. Use it to duplicate slide content and preserve layout or design patterns in a presentation.

Settings

  • Session name: Select one of the following options:
    • Session name: Enter the name of the session used during the Open action.

      (Optional) Click the Insert a value icon to select an existing variable that you have used to store the default session name.

    • Variable: Enter the name of the variable that you have used to store the PowerPoint session name.
  • Copy slide: Select one of the following options to specify the source slide to copy:
    • Current slide: Copies the currently active slide.
    • Specific slide: Specify the source slide index in the After index field to copy a specific slide.
  • Paste slide: Select one of the following options to specify where to paste the copied slide:
    • After current slide: Pastes the specific slide after the currently active slide.
    • Specific slide: Specify the destination slide index in the After index field to paste a specific slide.
  • Assign output to variable: Create or choose a Number variable to store the new pasted slide index.
