Reconfigure offline licenses
- Updated: 2026/06/02
Update your offline licenses when you need to renew, add or reduce entitlements, or change your license configuration. This process repeats the License File Request (LFR) to Offline License File (OLF) cycle as described in the previous section.
When to reconfigure
- Renewal: Your current offline license file period or the entire account is approaching expiry, and you need to renew it.
- Up-sell: You have purchased additional licenses or entitlements and need to apply them to your Control Room.
- Configuration change: You need to adjust the distribution of licenses (for example, add more Bot Creator or Bot Runner licenses to the Control Room).
Follow these steps to update offline license token:
Procedure
- Login to Automation 360 On-Premises Control Room.
- Generate a new LFR by navigating to page.
- Upload the new LFR to CALM.
- Download the updated OLF from CALM.
- Install the updated OLF on the Control Room.
You can repeat these steps of installing offline license file when you want to reconfigure the offline licenses allocated to the On-Premises Control Room, or at the up-sell or renew event
When applying an OLF that includes a reduced number of user licenses (such as Bot Creator or Bot Runner), ensure that the number of currently active licensed users does not exceed the updated license count. If this condition is not met, license validation errors might occur during installation.
Before applying the updated license file:
- Audit current license usage: Navigate to , review the used count for the license type being reduced and identify all users currently assigned to that license type.
- Align active users with the new license count: If the number of active users exceeds the intended license count, identify users to be de-provisioned based on business needs. Remove or reassign licenses so that the number of active users is equal to or less than the new license limit.
- Verify the updated count: Confirm the adjusted usage before proceeding with the OLF installation.
