Create a scheduler user

Configure a user-created role to run bots as a scheduler user in Automation Co-Pilot.

Prerequisites

You must be an Co-Pilot Admin to perform this task.

With a scheduler user, bots and processes can be deployed at set times to complete routine tasks.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Control Room as an Co-Pilot Admin.
  2. Navigate to Administration > Roles.
  3. Create a custom role.

    1. Set the permissions to View my bots, View packages, Run my bots, and Scheduler. Additionally, the scheduler user role must have the ability to set the Automation priority permission to High. Only those users with the Automation priority permission set to High are allowed to run and schedule the bot in high priority. See Set automation priority for your bots for details on how to set the priority permission.
    2. In the Bots tab, select the folders that contain the bots to be run by the scheduler user, that you want to give access to with run and view permissions. Set the required bot permissions for the role at the folder level.
    3. Select the unattended users in the Run As section.
    4. Save your changes.
  4. Create a user.

    Note: This user does not require any license.
  5. Assign the custom role you created to this user.
