Use these troubleshooting tips to help diagnose possible Agent Interoperability issues.
- Recommended models: Automation discovery, invocation, and results
extraction rely heavily on the AI Model/LLM. The way the LLM creates prompts is
crucial for discovering, invoking automation tools, and getting results. Based
on our experience, Cloud models perform better than GPT models:
- Recommended models: Claude Sonnet 4.5 and Gemini 2.5 Pro
- Models will low efficacy/reliability: GPT 4.1 or earlier
- Microsoft Copilot Studio - sending instructions: Sometimes, when you use Microsoft
Copilot Studio, your instructions might not send successfully. Do not worry,
just try sending the instruction again. Conversely, you might see a
Send failed message: Retry, even though the instruction was actually sent successfully and is being processed. You should wait 20 to 30 seconds. - Tool not showing in the client: Make sure the tool is listed under Inbound tools and the MCP client is connected to the correct endpoint or environment.
- Bot runs but no output: Check the input mapping and variable names in the bot. Add clear input and return documentation in the tool description.
- Permission errors: Make sure the Control Room service account used by the MCP server can access the repository items and any connected apps (such as Salesforce).
- Performance issues: Start with smaller data scopes, log key checkpoints, and make sure bot runners are available.

DiscoverAutomation tool sometimes does not show all configured automations as agent connection tools:
The DiscoverAutomation tool displays all automations set up as agent connections, as long as the user has access to them. However, if there are more than nine automations, then the DiscoverAutomation tool only shows the top nine automations based on certain criteria. If your automations do not match the criteria for the top nine, they won't be displayed.
To see specific automations, try using a tool-specific query in the DiscoverAutomation, for example, enter: Discover automations to (tool specific ask). These queries should show the relevant automations, even if they are defined as tools in agent connections.
