The Delete file action enables you to delete a file from Box and optionally remove it permanently from the trash. This allows you to efficiently manage and clean up your Box storage, automate the removal of unnecessary or outdated content, and maintain an organized workspace.

Settings

  • Use the Session name field to select one of the following options:
    • Session name: Enter the name of the session used during Connect action.

      (Optional) Click the Insert a value icon to select an existing variable that you have used to store the default session name.

    • Variable: Enter the name of the variable that you have used to store the session name.
  • File ID: Specify the Box file ID to delete.
  • Delete permanently: Select this option to remove the file from the trash as well.
  • Assign output to a variable: Create or choose a Boolean variable to store the deletion result.
