Agente de bot compatibility

Before you install the Agente de bot, ensure that you review the compatible Automation 360 builds.

Guidelines

  • When the Agente de bot update is Optional, you can continue to use the Agente de bot from any of the previous (optional) releases, which will be compatible with the current release.
    For example, the Agente de bot update is optional for v.26. So you can continue to use the Agente de bot from v.25 release. You can download and install the latest version of Agente de bot anytime on your device.
    Note: An alert for the availability of the latest version of Agente de bot is displayed on the log in screen if you are connected to a device that is running a previous version of Agente de bot.
  • A Control Room version is only compatible with corresponding or previous versions of Agente de bot.

    For example, if you are using the v.26 Control Room, you can use the Agente de bot version released with v.26 or previous versions. However, you cannot use Agente de bot version that is later than v.26 Control Room.

  • In Community Edition, the Agente de bot is automatically updated to the compatible version when a Agente de bot update is required.
  • The Agente de bot version in the Control Room is displayed in the format of XX.YY.0, where the sub-version is displayed as 0. However, the version displayed in the Microsoft Windows Control Panel shows the specific sub-version number (instead of 0), for example, XX.YY.22. That is, if your Agente de bot version in the Control Room is 22.40.0 (compatible with Automation 360 v.32), the version displayed in the Control Panel is 22.40.20.
  • If you want to use the latest version of packages from a new release, you might be required to update to the latest version of the Agente de bot even if it is optional.
  • When you update the Agente de bot in Windows Server 2012 or earlier versions of the operating system, you might encounter unexpected system reboots during the update because of the limitations in the operating system.
