Configure external key vault

In Version 11.3.1.10 and Version 11.3.5.2 , as an Control Room administrator, you can integrate your external key vault (CyberArk) with the Automation Anywhere Control Room.

Prerequisites

  • Install the Version 11.3.1.10 or Version 11.3.5.2 patch.
  • Ensure that you have configured the CyberArk vault either locally on your machine or on cloud.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Automation Anywhere Control Room.
  2. Go to Administration > Settings > External key vault > Configuration settings.
  3. Click Edit, and then select the CyberArk option.
    By default, the No external key vault option is selected.
  4. Enter the Vault URL.
  5. Enter the Application ID.
  6. Browse and select the Certification file.
  7. Optional: Enter the Password.
  8. Click Save changes.
    Connection between the Automation Anywhere Control Room and CyberArk is established.
  9. Restart the following services:
    • Automation Anywhere Control Room Caching
    • Automation Anywhere Control Room Messaging
    • Automation Anywhere Control Room Service
    • Automation Anywhere Bot Insight Visualization
    • Automation Anywhere Bot Insight Service
    Important:
    • If you have more than one Control Room server, repeat Steps 1 through 9 for each node.
    • Restart the services listed in Step 9 when you change the connection back from CyberArk to No external key vault and when the database password is changed.
