User defined variables
User variables are defined by an automation user, and used for a particular task or set of tasks. A user variable can hold a single value or multiple values.
There are two categories of variables:
- Analytics Variables are those variables that are defined by the Bot Creator to collect data for analysis. Such variables are marked for Analytics while creating variables. These are displayed in the Variable Manager for the respective Task Bot under Analytics Variables.
- Local Variables are those variables that are defined by the Bot Creator for a particular task. These are displayed in the Variable Manager for the respective Task Bot and MetaBot Logic under Local Variables.
Each user variable has a source . This source varies from direct assignment to reading values from files, such as text files, Excel or CSV files, or a database.
Note:
Analytics and Local Variables can be created only if you have bot creation privileges.
