Learn how to configure the default settings such as customizing the default location of global cache to suit your requirement.

A Control Room administrator can use any of the following optional instructions to change the default settings:

Procedure

  1. Navigate to Administration > Settings > Devices.
  2. In the Advanced options settings, click Edit.
  3. In the Additional options for configuring an environment for your devices sections, select one of the following options:
    • Allow changes on the Edit device page: Enables users to make changes on the device page.
    • Do not allow changes on Edit device page: Is the default setting that is used to restrict users from making any changes on the device page.

The Global Cache Location field contains the default filepath. This option is available in the Control Room for all devices but can be used only by devices that have the All Users/System Level (Recommended) option selected when installing the Bot Agent.
    Note:
    • Ensure that you do not use a shared or network filepath for the global cache since these are not supported.
    • If the specified path is not valid on the device, then the default path is used.
  5. (Optional) Use the following fields to enter custom values:
    • Autologin timeout: To set a time duration within which a user can auto-login to the device.

The default value is 60 seconds (one minute). You can either enter a custom value or use the + or - icons to change it.

The default wait time for the console to be displayed is 3 minutes, which is also the maximum value that you can set.

The default wait time value for an active bot session is 20000 milliseconds (20 seconds).
