Roles

Automation Anywhere Enterprise restricts access to Bot Insight to users with certain roles. Access to the Bot Insight dashboards depends on whether you are accessing it from the Enterprise Client or Control Room.

Bot Creators can access the analytics dashboard for a task from both the Enterprise Client and Control Room. Access to the dashboard depends on the user roles assigned to a user and the access permission granted to those user roles. See Role-Based Access Control.

Apart from the Bot Creators, users with the following user roles have access to Operational and Business Analytics dashboards:
  • Bot Insight Admin
  • Bot Insight Expert
  • Bot Insight Consumer
  • AAE COE Admin
Note: Version 11.3.5.1You can customize the role that enables the user to access Audit Dashboard

Bot Insight Admin

Use this role to perform the following operations in Bot Insight:
  • View the Data Profile of the task data for which the dashboard report is generated.
  • Analyze and save the system-generated dashboards.
  • Analyze, save, publish, and delete the user-generated dashboards.
  • Bookmark, compare, and share the dashboards.
  • Access the Analyze, Configure, and Operation tabs.
  • You can search Business dashboards (default, saved, and published), CoE dashboards (configure and published), and Operation dashboard (default and saved).

Bot Insight Expert

Use this role to perform the following operations in Bot Insight:
  • Analyze the data in the dashboards that are deployed in the production environment.
  • Save the system-generated dashboards.
  • Analyze, save, publish, and delete the user-generated dashboards.
  • Bookmark, compare, and share the dashboards.
  • Access Configure tab and search for Business dashboard (default and saved).

Bot Insight Consumer

Use this role to perform the following operations in Bot Insight:
  • Analyze data in the dashboards that are deployed in the production environment.
  • Bookmark, compare, and share the dashboards.
  • Access the Analyze and Operation tabs. Search Business (default and saved) and Operation dashboards.

AAE COE Admin

If you have a Bot Insight business analytics license, you can log in to the system, create multiple users, and assign them different roles. If you do not have a Bot Insight business analytics license, the only role you can assign to a user is the AAE_COE_Admin role.

Use the AAE_COE_Admin role to access Bot Insight and perform the following functions:
  • Access CoE dashboards
  • Export CoE dashboards
  • Import CoE dashboards
  • Edit CoE dashboards
  • Regenerate CoE dashboards
You can also search for the following CoE dashboards:
  • Default
  • Saved As
  • Published
Note: Use the AAE_COE_Admin role to access the COE dashboard from the Automation Anywhere Mobile App.

Version 11.3.5.1Customize role to access Audit dashboard

Administrators or users with roles permission can create this customized role with permission to View everyone's audit log actions.

Users with permission to access the Audit dashboard can perform the following actions:

  • View the Audit dashboard in the Control Room.
  • Create and view a custom Audit dashboard in the Bot Insight Operation dashboard.
  • Select ElasticSearch as data source from the Data source list.
  • Add ElasticSearch datasource widgets in any custom Operation dashboard.

The following table provides information about the access levels that each Bot Insight role offers.
