Process Discovery Sensor application

Use the Process Discovery Sensor to record activity on a user's machine to determine what business processes are candidates for automation.

The Automation Anywhere Process Discovery Sensor is a lightweight application that integrates to the machines' video card to record user activities. The sensor operates in both thick and thin client applications, and across multiple monitors. You can configure which applications and domains can be used to capture activity.

Minimum system requirements

The following minimum system requirements are supported for installing the Process Discovery Sensor:
  • Operating Systems
    • Desktop: Windows 10, Windows 11
      Note: Windows 7 is capable, but does not support stronger security. Therefore, is a less secure connection to our server. Further notice to the Cloud Ops needed to use Win 7.

    • Citrix VDI: Windows Server 2016

  • Memory: 1GB RAM for 32-bit OS, 2GB RAM for 64 bit OS
  • CPU: 1Ghz or faster
  • Internet connection: application able to upload securely to our server (pass firewall, security software etc and use desired encryption)

Suggested configurations

Operating specifications for your application can be adjusted. We recommend the following configurations for optimum performance.
Note: The processing speed of any security software will effect performance of the Process Discovery Sensor.
  • 60 screen shots, per user, per minute (1920x1080 single monitor)
  • Internet: 3 Mbps upload speed
  • RAM: 256 MB spare memory for application to use
