Historical activity

You can search, view, and run previously created bots in the Activity > Historical page.

Prerequisites

To view historical activities, ensure that you have the following permissions:
  • View my activity
  • Manage my activity
  • View activity from user’s folder
  • Manage activity from user’s folder
  • View everyone’s activity
  • Manage everyone’s activity

Time filter

As a Control Room user, you can use the Time filter option to search and view historical activities. You can select the required time duration from the list and view the specific details for the activity. Additionally, you can customize the specific time range to view historical activity details in a specific time range. This filter provides historical activity details based on custom settings, hours, or days (default is Last 90 days).

For example, to view historical activities from May 10th to May 15th:
  1. Log in to the Control Room with required permissions.
  2. Navigate to the Activity > Historical page.

    The Historical activity page displays.

  3. From the Time filter drop-down, select the Custom option.

    By default, the Historical activity page shows the last 90 days of historical activities.

  4. Set the date and time:
    • Start date: 05-10-2023
    • Start time: 10:00 AM
    • End date: 05-15-2023
    • End time: 10:00 PM
  5. Click Confirm to confirm the date and time. Otherwise, click Cancel.

Search parameters

Based on the administrative permissions, you can apply various search parameters to monitor and find the required historical activities. The following table describes various search parameters, their description, and possible values or examples to search the historical activities:
Parameter Description Possible values and examples
Status Search for an activity based on its status.
  • Completed
  • Failed
  • Stopped
  • Timed out
  • Unknown
  • Deploy failed
  • Run failed
  • Pending execution
Item name Search for an activity based on triggered item. A generic name in specif system format with combination of your bot name, date and time when you run the bot, and username by which you run the bot.

Automation priority Search for an activity based on the priority assigned to the automation.
  • Low
  • Medium
  • High
Device name Search for an activity based on the name of the device on which the activity is running. User-specified device name
Bot name Search for an activity based on the name of a bot. User-specified bot name
User Search for an activity based on the name of the user who created the activity. User specified name

Actions

You can export, refresh, and customize the activity details in the Activity > Historical page.
Export checked items to CSV
To export selected items to a CSV file based on the following parameters:
  • Filters
  • Selection
Refresh table
To refresh the table with updated activity details
Customize columns
To show or hide specific columns
Important:
  • Multiple workload automation entries equal to the number of devices are shown on the Historical activity page, if the work items added to a queue are less than the number of devices available in a device pool. For workload automation details, refer to the View queue details page on the actual user device on which the workload automation was deployed.
  • Historical activity displays only the bots that are processing the work items, while each bot deployment can include multiple work items processed as one activity.
