Change Active Directory settings for external key vault deployments

Administrators can select to retrieve the Active Directory integration credential from a configured external key vault or manually enter the credential.

Prerequisites

Ensure that you are logged in to the Control Room as the administrator.

External key vaults are configured during the initial setup of the Control Room.

To change the active directory configuration, to permit users to select a specific external key vault, or use a manually entered user/password credential. If, during the initial setup of the Automation Anywhere Control Room administrators opted to deploy a specific external key vault, such as CyberArk or AWS, only those external key vault configuration options will be presented.
Note: To see and use this feature, an administrator must have configured the external key vault connection first. For On-Premises users, the external key vault connection is either configured during installation or via the command line utility post install.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to Administration > Settings > Active Directory.
  2. Make you selection to either enter the username and password manually, or select a specific external key vault.

    Enter the corresponding credentials for the deployed external key vault (i.e. for CyberArk, enter safe name and object name; AWS, enter the secret name; for Azure, enter the secret name; for HashiCorp, enter the secret name ).

  3. Click Save changes.
