Download a document from a learning instance

Once documents are uploaded to a learning instance, some files process successfully, while others fail.

Note: To download documents from an Automation 360 IQ Bot server, use the Download all documents action in IQ Bot package .

For documents that are processed but enter the Validator queue for human review, use the option to mark the document digitization and extraction as Invalid. Depending on the scenario, download and remove these files from the learning instance. Copy the paths shown in the Success and Invalid labels of the IQ Bot dialog box to your clipboard.

Output folder structure

Use the copied output paths as a variable in the Task Editor. The output paths are formatted as follows:

  • If you did not choose the path during installation, then IQ Bot sets the following as the default path: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Automation Anywhere IQBot Platform\Output\.
  • After the files are uploaded for processing, the output for every learning instance is categorized into the following:
    Success folder
    <output path>\<learning instance name>\Success\
Documents go into this folder when IQ Bot successfully classifies a document in production with a trained group and matches the following validation rules:
    • The document is associated with a group under a learning instance based on a domain (out-of-the-box or custom). Groups are created based on layout or format of the documents. If 60 percent of the documents' format or layout match, they are categorized into the same group.
    • The fields intended to be extracted from the document match the patterns or rules set during its training.

Successfully extracted fields are saved in a .csv format.

    Unclassified folder
    <output path>\<learning instance name>\Unclassified\
Documents go into this folder when IQ Bot is unable to classify them. This can happen due to various reasons, some of which are as follows:
    • Document is noisy or has low dots per inch (DPI) count (recommended is 300 DPI or more).
    • Wrong language was selected during instance creation.
    • The document contains a heavily colored background. In this case, try removing the color and try again.
    Invalid folder
    <output path>\<learning instance name>\Invalid\

Documents in this folder did not pass IQ Bot validation.

IQ Bot processes and flags field errors in that document before it can be viewed in the Validator, where you can fix and verify the flagged fields. Files that fall into groups but do not have an associated bot become available in Not Processed folder.

    Not processed folder
    <output path>\<learning instance name>\Unclassified\

Documents in this folder fall into groups but do not have an associated bot.

This can happen due to various reasons, some of which are as follows:
    • The document layout is not yet trained and creates a new group.
    • Documents for which training is complete but the associated bot is still in staging.

In this folder, sub-folders might be created based on the groups. For example, Group_123, where 123 is the group number. In these sub-folders, you can view documents that have been processed by IQ Bot for that learning instance.
